Some other well-known tabletop games include Monopoly, Risk, Dungeons and Dragons, and Settlers of Catan. Ready to improve your aura and bring more joy into your life? It all starts with learning how to see auras (don’t worry, it’s easy and only takes about five minutes!) See if you can discover some real meaning for your life that’s different from your negative perspective. Some people think, “Why should I be nice when life has treated me like crap?”ĭeveloping a sense of compassion and empathy for yourself first will begin to lighten your vibration, and brighten your heavy aura to a lighter shade of gray… then lighter still… and brighter… and more vibrant! If you’ve had a lot of negative experiences in life, a black aura can be that spiritual “alarm” that you’re off kilter and need to tend to yourself ASAP to start feeling awesome again. Life is supposed to be about being happy. There were days I never thought I’d feel better, but lots and lots of self care helped a lot. Only when I learned to have a new perspective, let go of what I could not change, and make joy a priority, did I feel like I was connected to my Higher Self and living my True Essence again. “Deep, dark depression” is the way it’s often described (meaning, it’s more than just feeling blah for a week).įor me, it took time, serious self-care, and an amazing spiritual counselor to figure out what I value most in life (then living and making decisions based on what I value) to make me feel better. I’m not a doctor, and I don’t play one on the internet, but I know I manifested a black aura when I was severely depressed due to my daughter’s illness. And this one helped me tremendously when my aunt took her own life. This video helped me a LOT with letting go.Here are two videos that I found super helpful: Following the teachings of Abraham (channeled by Esther Hicks) has totally changed my life for the better. The thing that helped me let serious stuff go was watching Esther Hicks’ videos on YouTube. When you feel bad and hold onto stuff, your aura can show up as bruised, darkened, and manifest as a shade of black until you release it, and let it go. Our natural spiritual state is to be loving and forgiving. When we hold onto negative feelings and think we are justified in holding onto them, it affects our energy fields. Grief over the loss of a loved one, loss of a job, a divorce, or ill health can show up as a black aura.Īnd depending on the intensity of how you are feeling, the shades of black can vary, too, from a grayish color to a more intense charcoal. I don’t think it’s an accident that the traditional color to wear at funerals is black. It only affects you.Īnd you are SO worthy of joy and letting it go. Is it hard to forgive sometimes? For sure!īut feeling unforgiving never touches the person whom you are angry at. Holding onto grudges and not forgiving can harden your heart, send negative vibes into the universe, and show up as a dark color in your aura. Makes sense, right? Causes of a Black Aura 1. In fact, that heavy energy can even cloud up the other colors in your aura… like causing the color to be murky green instead of a sparkly emerald green. If you’re feeling negative, it makes total sense that your aura would be black (and your chakras likely need cleaning-up, too). Your aura colors exist because of the thoughts you think, the feelings you feel, and your general vibe. Think of it as an early warning system telling you that something is wrong - that one wheel is off the tracks. So, discovering that you have black in your aura can work the same way. It can actually be a good thing, like a smoke alarm. When a smoke alarm goes off, what do you do? If someone sees black in your aura, don’t freak out. The colors in our aura reflect the state of our physical and emotional being. One of them is the electromagnetic field around our bodies called our aura. Truth: Sometimes we feel more like rain than sunshine.īecause we are spiritual, energetic beings, energy shows up for us in a lot of different ways. So, let’s talk about why your aura might have some black in it, what it means, and how to make it healthy again. And generally, my aura is bright and sparkly! He probably has some muddy-looking colors in his aura, for sure!Īnd I’m SURE that when I went through a challenge a couple of years ago, I had some muddy colors - even black - in my aura, too. You know Winnie the Pooh’s pal, Eeyore? He isn’t evil, but he does have kind of a negative attitude. Black auras can be caused by negative emotions: feeling hopeless, miserable, depressed - and even hate on the extreme end. Even awesome people like you can have black in their energy fields it doesn’t mean you’re an awful person. While it’s true that an aura loaded with this color can mean run… Some people think a black aura means the presence of evil. whether there is another fracture (medial malleolus, talus).whether there is displacement (translocation, angulation, rotation).what type of fracture (transverse, oblique, spiral, comminuted).where the fracture is in the bone (relative to syndesmosis).Once you have seen the fracture, remember to describe: Remember that avulsion injuries may be small, and just involve the tip, or the internal surface of the malleolus. If there is a lot of soft tissue swelling over the lateral malleolus, but no fracture, then there has been a ligamentous injury. The AP and lateral views from an ankle x-ray will almost always allow detection of a lateral malleolar fracture. This results in widening of the distal tibiofibular joint and loss of integrity of the socket. In Weber B and C fractures the syndesmosis may have been torn (partially or completely). Weber C: above the syndesmosis (unstable).Weber B: at the syndesmosis (may be unstable).Weber A: below the syndesmosis (stable). The commonest classification is the Weber classification that uses the position of the fracture relative to the syndesmosis to group fractures: ClassificationĬlassification of distal fibula fractures attempts to split fractures into groups by severity. It is worth noting that fractures may be invisible on one projection. In most cases an ankle x-ray is all that is required for diagnosis and follow up. However, more severe injuries with ligamentous injury and ankle instability may require operative reduction and internal fixation. The majority of injuries are relatively simple avulsion injuries from the fibular pole and only require immobilization with a cast. Treatment depends on the type of distal fibula fracture which is a reflection of the severity of the fracture and the surrounding ligamentous structures. OR inability to weightbear after the trauma and when being assessedĪn ankle x-ray (AP and lateral views) are usually all that is needed to make a diagnosis.OR tenderness along the posterior surface of the distal tibia.tenderness along the posterior surface of the distal fibula.Patients should have a plain film, if there is malleolar tenderness and: The Ottawa ankle rules allow evidence-based decision making regarding the need for plain films in patients with ankle injury. Most patients present following an episode of trauma with ankle pain, tenderness and an inability to weightbear. motor vehicle accident, sporting injury), while older patients present following minor trauma (e.g. Young patients present following injuries in relatively high-energy trauma (e.g. EpidemiologyĪnkle injuries, like many fractures have a bimodal distribution. EtiologyĪnkle fractures may be the result of a vast array of injuries that range from an inversion injury to a complex high trauma sporting injury. Cigarette smoking and high BMI are both risk factors for ankle fractures. The syndesmosis is a strong ligament that pulls the tibia and fibula together just above the distal tibiofibular joint. This socket is only functional because the tibia (medial and posterior malleolus) and fibula (lateral malleolus) are held together tightly by the syndesmosis. The ankle is a pseudo-ball-and-socket joint the talus is the ball and the distal tibia and fibula act as the socket. They tend to causes fractures that are higher up the fibula and the rotational component of the injury may cause syndesmosis tears. In some cases, inversion coupled with rotation leads to a more complex injury. Avulsion injuries do not involve the syndesmosis and the ankle remains stable. This results in either a pure ligamentous injury (complete or partial tear) or avulsion of the tip of the fibula (the lateral malleolus). A pure inversion injury will result in tension being applied to the supporting soft tissues of the lateral ankle, particularly the lateral collateral ligament. Most ankle injuries occur because of an inversion injury. They are the extension of a lateral collateral ligament injury.

This move also makes use of just 4 moves to defeat the opponent. The next game is known as the scholar’s mate or the four-move checkmate. This will mean the end of the game as you can move your knight from d4 to f3 and it will capture the king for you. Now, black traps the king by moving the active knight from c6 to d4.Īs a last move, the opponent will choose to move the g2 pawn to g3 as a simple game development. In the third move, white moves the queen’s side knight from b1 to c3. This, black moves her queen’s side knight from b8 to c6. In the next move, white moves her king’s side knight from g1 to e2. Black then advances her own pawn from e7 to e5. The game starts with white (opponent) moving her pawn from e2 to e4. This also capitalizes on the opponent’s king’s inability to escape. This is a trick where the opponent’s king is taken down in 4 moves. The basic idea is to trap your opponent by capitalizing on their strategy of not leaving space for the king to escape. If you are caught then this trick will not work. Here, you must understand that your opponent must be foolish enough to fall for your trick. You will successfully trap your opponent that way. Your next move is to move the queen to h4 and the game is over. This will open up the diagonal that leads to the king. Next, your opponent will move his pawn from f2 to f3. This will allow you to capture one of the center squares and will make your first move. When this happens, you must over your own pawn from e7 to e5. The game starts with the white pawn (Opponent) moving his pawn from g2 to g4. The fool’s mate allows you to finish the game within 2 moves! Even before your opponent realizes it, you would have finished the game! This is the oldest and most popular quick game strategy that is employed regularly. Here are 5 of the fastest checkmate patterns that are quite common that you can use to either win your games quickly or to thwart your opponent’s quick checkmating dreams. The best way to prevent such checkmates is by understanding the different quick game strategies that are popularly employed to ensnare novices. If you always play from any hole that ends on your mancala, you will not only score lots of points and get extra moves, but you will also avoid having so many stones build up in a hole on your side that you have to play them onto your opponent's side.I’m sure there have been several instances when you have been defeated within a matter of minutes and wondered, “What the heck just happened here?” Well, your opponent fooled you! They may have used a technique known as the “fool’s mate”, which allows the opponent to trap your king within 2 moves, the fastest checkmate! Unless it ruins your chance at a capture, it is often a good move to take a free point and then move again.

The species diverged during the early Pliocene (about 5 million years ago). The two African species, the white rhinoceros and the black rhinoceros, belong to the tribe Dicerotini, which originated in the middle Miocene, about 14.2 million years ago. The living species fall into three categories. The family Rhinocerotidae consists of only four extant genera: Ceratotherium (white rhinoceros), Diceros (black rhinoceros), Dicerorhinus (Sumatran rhinoceros), and Rhinoceros (Indian and Javan rhinoceros). The name has been in use since the 14th century. The word rhinoceros is derived through Latin from the Ancient Greek: ῥῑνόκερως, which is composed of ῥῑνο- ( rhino-, "nose") and κέρας ( keras, " horn") with a horn on the nose. See also: List of perissodactyls RhinocerotidaeĬladogram following a phylogenetic study. A market also exists for rhino horn dagger handles in Yemen, which was the major source of demand for rhino horn in the 1970s and 1980s. Rhino horns are made of keratin, the same material as hair and fingernails, and there is no good evidence of any health benefits. The contemporary market for rhino horn is overwhelmingly driven by China and Vietnam, where it is bought by wealthy consumers to use in traditional Chinese medicine, among other uses. Rhinoceroses are killed by poachers for their horns, which are bought and sold on the black market for high prices, leading to most living rhinoceros species being considered endangered. Unlike other perissodactyls, the two African species of rhinoceros lack teeth at the front of their mouths they rely instead on their lips to pluck food. They generally eat leafy material, although their ability to ferment food in their hindgut allows them to subsist on more fibrous plant matter when necessary. They have a herbivorous diet, small brains 400–600 g (14–21 oz) for mammals of their size, one or two horns, and a thick 1.5–5 cm (0.59–1.97 in), protective skin formed from layers of collagen positioned in a lattice structure. Rhinoceroses are some of the largest remaining megafauna: all weigh at least one tonne in adulthood. Two of the extant species are native to Africa, and three to South and Southeast Asia. A rhinoceros ( / r aɪ ˈ n ɒ s ər ə s/ from Ancient Greek ῥῑνόκερως ( rhīnókerōs) 'nose-horned' from ῥῑ́ς ( rhī́s) 'nose', and κέρας ( kéras) 'horn' PL: rhinoceros or rhinoceroses), commonly abbreviated to rhino, is a member of any of the five extant species (or numerous extinct species) of odd-toed ungulates in the family Rhinocerotidae it can also refer to a member of any of the extinct species of the superfamily Rhinocerotoidea. |
